Teen Pregnancy. A major social issue that seemingly becoming an undesirable norm to many Filipinos. The rate of teenage pregnancy in the country continues to rise and creates serious calls for concern.
A lack of both child education and good parenting may be attributed to the increase in the number of young children getting involved in premarital sexual unions. Eventually, several teenage girls who end up getting pregnant and are not so fortunate enough to have a decent and full support from their very own families are tremendously affected morally, socially, and spiritually. Many of them find themselves abandoned or disowned, losing self-esteems in the process. Ultimately, the child they bear suffers the most difficult consequences. Growing up without a father and raised by a disoriented mother in an unstable environment.
